Beginners Workshop

Would you like to try the competition just for practice?
This category follows the same rules as the Beginners class, but at the end you will additionally receive feedback from each judge.

The Beginners Workshop is a class suitable for groomers with less than 2 years of experience in grooming and with the specific breed they wish to compete with. Show experience is also considered as experience.

A competitor may compete as a Beginner in multiple competitions for a period of 12 months, even if they win. In the second year, they must enter either the Intermediate Class or the Open Class, even if they have not won.

In this class, breeds and techniques are newly divided in the same way as in the main categories, namely into:

• Handstripping (Trimming)

• Spaniels and Setters

• Pure Breeds

• Poodles

First, second, and third places may be awarded. Only breeds falling into these four main categories are permitted.

The dog grooming rules in this category follow the rules listed below, meaning that, for example, in the Poodle category in Beginners or Intermediate there is different timing, but all other rules remain the same.

Attention! The use of clipper attachment combs is not permitted.
